WHAT CAME FIRST THE MULLET OR THE RACING?

Ask most any racer or off-road race fan and they'll know Pistol Pete and his mullet. But Pete's racing experience didn't start in an 800 hp Trophy Truck driving from the middle. And to get the "whole" story you have to go back a long way, back to 1978. At 14 years old, Pete showed up at the desert track with his three-wheeler atc wearing levi jeans and vans tennis shoes. He had a helmet but the guy with full gear on next to him was laughing. The flag dropped and Pete left the laughing behind, finishing 4th out of 35 racers. Maybe it was the finish, maybe the laughing, but everything changed that day and racing competitively became a way of life for Pete for the next 30 years.
