An Epic Baja Racing Experience Driven by YOU!
Many will start, some will finish, few will conquer; Baja. Only here will anyone admit the experience can surpass the racing.
Most only dream about attempting the oldest most well known of all desert races. Racers have come from every state and all over the world to tempt fate and faith.
The lure has enraptured backyard racers, professional Nascar drivers, like Robby Gordon, and celebrities, like James Garner and the late Steve McQueen to name a few.
Since 1967, this desert race has been run except 1974 when the international fuel crisis forced a cancellation. SCORE International, founded by the late Mickey Thompson and soon to be headed by Sal Fish, was invited by the northern state of Baja California to hold the race in 1975. For the next 30 plus years,
Sal Fish has dedicated himself to SCORE and to this magnificent race. Sal sees every racer off the line, sometimes having over 300 entries, and he shakes the hand of the ones that make it to the finish line.
For the 2009 series, a new class is being formed featuring the TrophyLite. The TrophyLite is a smaller version of the heart pounding 900 horsepower unlimited Trophy Truck Class.
Pistol Pete, the infamous mullet wearer and #2 trophy truck driver, is jumping in to offer the off-road experience to all and a single goal; every race truck finishes
every race. This is for extreme sports enthusiasts, experienced racers that just want to show up and drive or the average Joe.
TrophyLites will be available in an
arrive-and-drive program for all TROPHYLITE, SCORE and BITD races. Additionally, trucks can be rented for any off-road series or
single race in the United States and Mexico, including MDR, MORE, CODE, and SNORE.
Bob Bondurant, Skip Barber and many more offer racing schools. But, with Baja Racing Adventures "you're part of the team" says Sohren, "you made the cut,
and that's where the adventure begins."
